Lance played college baseball at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He was drafted in the 11th round of the 1991 Amateur Baseball Draft by the Texas Rangers. Lance spent eight years in the minors where he achieved numerous awards as a Double A and Triple A All Star. He has been instructing pitchers for over 15 years.
