Morgan Baer is committed to Evansville University as a catcher.
Kate Waldemer is committed to Quincy University as a catcher.
Mikala Torrence has committed to University Tennessee, Martin as an outfielder.
FUSION GOLD SENIORS
Scott Sullivan, owner of SLBFA, will lead the 2011-2012 Fusion Gold program. Scott is looking forward to an exciting upcoming season . Fusion Gold 2011 had successful summer going 6-6 in Gold tournaments and 2-2 in Premier tourney. Scott , Randi , and Amanda were extremely proud of the team and their efforts. "We came so close to qualifying in our final gold tourney in Oklahoma City at ASA stadium," said Scott. We said goodbye to our 2 seniors Kenzi Tate and Lindsey Field both will heading to Tennessee Martin . The coaches will miss them as they were both team captains and great leaders.
Meet our seniors: Mikayla Torrence, centerfielder, has signed with the University of Tennessee-Martin. Mik is an outstanding defensive and offensive player, and a leader both on-and-off the field. Caitlin Nappier, second baseman, is committed to Fontbonne University. A solid defensive and offensive player with exceptional bat speed and power. Morgan Baer, primary position: catching; however, can play any position on the field. Morgan is an outstanding athlete, an exemplary player. Morgan will attend the University of Evansville, Indiana, in the fall, on a full-scholarship. Kate Waldemer, catcher and first baseman, is open for college offers. Kate has a great arm and does an outstanding job in handling our pitching staff. As a hitter, Kate has power potential resulting in timely home runs and extra base hits.
Introducing our Juniors: Sheridon Sprague, pitcher/outfielder, completed her first Gold season as one of the top pitchers and the top hitter on the StL Fusion Gold team. As a pitcher, Sheridon shut-down some of the top Gold teams in the country. As a hitter, she hit well over .400, demonstrating awesome power and clutch-hitting. Marissa Modglin, shortstop, is an outstanding athlete with good range, a strong arm, and superior work ethic. Marissa is a let-handed hitter with a fluid swing. Special note: home to first: 2.90. Alyssa Lilly, outfielder, has a strong arm and good judgement in tracking. Alyssa has an exceptional work ethic and a strong desire to compete at the Gold level, and beyond. Jenna Parrott, outfielder, has above-average speed and a good arm. Jenna is a left-handed power-slapper and has the skill to put the ball into play and use her exceptional speed. Note: home to first: 2.80. Kaitlin Grohman, pitcher, has dominant potential with a fastball at 60-63 consistently. Pitching coach, Dr. Randi Davis loves Kaitlin's work ethic and attitude, and believes Kaitlin will have an exceptional Gold season. Mollie Carter, pitcher/outfielder/infielder, did an exceptional job during the 2011 Chesterfield Exposure Tournament. Mollie showed she can pitch at this level, demonstrating good control, an above-average fastball and change-up. Dr. Randi Davis, pitching coach,has high hopes for Mollie's athletic future.
Our Sophmores: Aimilia McDonough, centerfielder/infielder, completed her first full-season at the Gold level with the St. Louis Fusion Gold. Aimilia received a lot of attention from college coaches throughout the nation. As a young player, Aimilia will continue to improve offensively and defensively. Aimilia has exceptional running speed, a strong physical presence, and above-average bat speed. Fallon Conner, pitcher/infielder, completed her first year at the Gold level with the St. Louis Fusion Gold, showing improvement defensively and offensively. As a young player, Fallon has received attention from college coaches who see her potential. Fallon's strong arm and physical presence combined with above-average bat speed makes her a definite college prospect.
The 2012 St. Louis Fusion Gold team lineup will feature speed, defense, exceptional pitching, and power. Head Coach Scott Sullivan will be supported by an outstanding coaching staff, including: Dr. Randi Davis and Amanda Roberts.
