This is Amanda's second year coaching Ursuline Academy, she coached at Maryville University and Fontbonne University before that. This is her second year as a hitting and fielding instructor at the St. Louis Baseball and Fastpitch Academy.
As a coach, she focuses on each girl's individual swing; no two girls will have the same swing because no two girls are alike. We work on feeling when you do it right and feeling it when you do it wrong, and focusing on that feeling of right over and over again. And through that repition of breaking down the swing and doing it right, not only does the girl have a techniqually better swing, but has also developed a lot of confidence along the way.
